I thought it was about time to create a blog and promote my designs. Despite my tendency to get distracted by what seems to be a serious case of ADHD, I'm finally writing this blog entry and I'm FINALLY putting together some of my designs on the internet. Nevertheless, this blog is a dedication to expression, impression, and promotion...feedback, interest, and art.
I've added this photograph, manipulated on photo shop. It was taken in 2004 in Pammukale, Turkey. Roughly, the translation of Pammukale is "cotton castle". The name originates from the atmosphere's mixture of hot springs and chalk in the midst of an arid, dry area. Some refer to it as one of the eighth wonders of the world. Pammukale appears to be a patchy frozen area, complete with icicles and pools of cool colored water; however, you find it to be warm like the warm weather in Turkey. Water trickles on a downward slope, sliding thinly over the white, mineral-formed walls.
Because everything around was white, the darkness of shadows seemed ghostly. I had to take a picture with the intention to portray this vision. It looked like smoke or fog overlapped and intertwined with the shadows.
Obviously, this photo was taken a while ago, but it is certainly one of my favorites. I hope you like it too :)
